Computational linguistics lab.

Computational linguistics lab is located at PG Lab (A2-302) at Computer engineering department, PICT. Aim of this lab is to carry out research activities and product development by identifying state of the art application in Computational linguistics area. The domains/areas covered in this lab are Image Processing, Computer vision, Information retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Human Computer Interface

    The activities at Computational linguistics lab are planned in two domains

    1. Natural language processing, Information retrieval: Getting computers to solve language-related tasks.
      This includes voice recognition, machine translation, chat bots, automatic text generation and summarization, web search, ad placement, stylistic analysis, and much more.
    2. Image processing, Computer vision: Gesture recognition, sign language translation, Image segmentation, Object detection and recognition,

    Objectives of Computational linguistics labs are as follows:

  • To motivate faculty and students for product development.
  • To be recognized as an industry sponsored lab.
  • To provide internship and sponsorship for B.E./M.E. Project.
  • To procure funds from various funding agencies by submitting research proposal.
  • To conduct industry projects and consultancy
  • To conduct training/certificate program.
