In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, the discipline of Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE) stand as one of the pillars of innovation, shaping the evolving world as we know it. From the smallest integrated circuits to the vast networks connecting global communities, this field plays an irreplaceable role in driving progress and transforming ideas into reality.

Investment of the visionary management of PICT in the Electronics and Computer industry by starting a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Program in Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the AY 2023-24, is in actual a long-term investment in the future of humanity and it is yet another initiative of PICT to provide boundless opportunities for those willing to explore its frontiers.

The newly developed ECE department with an intake capacity of 60 aims to provide its students with the essential software and hardware-based technical knowledge and skills of contemporary and futuristic technologies to match the global requirements. The main research focus of the ECE is in the areas of Embedded Design, Semiconductor Devices, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cryptography, Network Security, Parallel-Distributed and High-Performance Computing, Algorithms, and Cloud Computing, etc.

The department is committed to continue the legacy of the institute by providing excellent teaching and learning along with varied co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to facilitate the holistic development of the students and make them industry-ready from the global perspective.

The Department provides the state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities to the stakeholders. The Head of the department, Dr. Sunil K. Moon, and the team of diverse, young, enthusiastic, and dynamic faculty members are committed to unanimously harnesses its potential in all aspects to take the department to greater heights.
