Preface: The term 3D printing covers a host of processes and technologies that offer a full spectrum of capabilities for the production of parts and products in different materials which is solution to industry, manufacturer, and consumer sectors. There is a lot of research scope in the domain of healthcare, aerospace, automotive and education markets to work with. 3D printing perfectly fits the conception of the Industry 4.0 and will become unavoidable. As 3D printing solutions will lower production costs, their adoption rate within the industry will increase.

3D printing Special Interest Group (SIG) is formed in Sep-2020. A separate laboratory {Research Lab A2-(303) and Lab A3-103} are assigned to 3D model design and printing activities. These laboratories are actively used by staff and students to:

• Conduct training programs and carry out academic and industrial research in the field of manufacturing, automobile, medical, the aerospace sector.
• Apply 3D printing to real-world problems in society and industry.
• Encourage UG, PG, PhD students to take up projects, research in these areas.
• Explore opportunities to carry out continuous research and attract industry project, consultancy projects and funded projects from various funding agencies.

Following students from E&TC department took active participation in installation of 3D printer and they will be working in the Laboratory as Interns, under the guidance of staff from E&TC department.
